The International Medical and Technological University (IMTU) yesterday said that the situation at the institution has returned to normal following the students’ crisis which lasted for six months.

He said most of the claims which sparked students’ crisis, including abolishing the system of charging students fees in dollars, had been resolved.
“The university is no longer charging fees in [US] dollars, students are now paying fees in local currencies,” Prof Shija said. He said about 400 students who boycotted classes have already returned to the university.
However, the don said that at least 30 students won’t be accepted back after the disciplinary committee discovered that they were ring readers of long-standing strikes and that they had another agenda to distort the image of the university.
“The disciplinary committee followed university rules and regulations to assess the students and discovered that majority of them acted under mob pressure, but the 30 students had real intention to distort calm.
