	Call for Papers 3rd International Conference on Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE'2014) On “ENGINEERING INNOVATIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” August 14 – 15, 2014 ARUSHA, TANZANIA
	PURPOSE This conference is an international forum organized to bring together researchers and practitioners to share ideas and observe the latest research, problems and solutions relating to the multifaceted aspects of Mechanical, Indus- trial, and Manufacturing Engineering. We are pleased to invite authors to submit their abstracts to MIE’2014 Inter- national Conference, addressing issues that serve present and future developments of the field. All papers submitted to this conference will be peer evaluated by reviewers and will appear in the conference proceedings. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution to science and engineering. LOCATION Arusha city, capital of Arusha region is located in the northern highlands of Tanzania, beneath the twin peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Direct flights from Europe to Kilimanjaro International airport by KLM are available. The Kilimanjaro International airport is situated 50 kilometres from Arusha city. Precision Air a vibrant national carrier provides flight services between Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Kilimanjaro, Nairobi and Entebbe. The City built by the Germans as a centre of colonial administration is the site for the United Nations Criminal Tribu- nal on the Rwandan genocide, and the headquarters of the newly formed East African Community. Visitors embark- ing on the popular northern safari circuit all stop in the ‘Geneva of Africa’ to prepare for their journeys to Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti, Manyara, Tarangire and Arusha national parks. HOTEL DETAILS Most of hotels in Arusha are situated in tranquil green areas. They offer a wide variety of business and leisure facili- ties including Wireless Internet connections in conference rooms and lobby. Some of the hotels are Mount Meru Ho- tel, The Arusha Hotel, Kibo Palace Hotel, Snow Crest Hotel, Impala Hotel, and Naura Springs Hotel. Nearby places of interest include the Arusha International Conference Centre, Museum of National History, Arusha National Park, Manyara National Park, and Maasai Market.
